Why rabi al-Awwal is called by this name
There were stories in why the month of Rabi 'al-Awwal was called by this name? One of them is that the Arabs used to fertilize there whatever they had sown in zero; Since Safar was the first month of plundering of the tribes after Muharram, and it was said: It was rather named so at because of the number of people and animals in it and in the month following it (the second spring), because these two months used to come in the season called autumn and the Arabs call it spring, and you call spring summer and summer is hot.
The Arabs used to divide the winter into two parts, which they called the two springs: the first of which is the spring water and rain, and the second the source of plants; Because in it vegetation ends, and all winter is spring for the Arabs because of the dew.
